Republican Party Convention
The Lee County Republican Party held its Annual Convention on March 17 2012. There were a total of 80 delegates chosen to the District and State Conventions. There were over 25 candidates for public office that spoke to the attendees. The next step in the process will be the District Convention on April 21 2012 at the Enrichment Center in Sanford.

Mike Stone Files For House 51

February 23 saw another procession from Republican Head Quarters to the Board of Elections as Mike Stone went to file for re-election for the House 51 seat. Mike was accompanied by his wife Jennifer, the Sheriff Tracy Carter, and about 30 other Republican officials and voters. The excitement is gearing up for the primary and election day.
Candidate Filings
Lee County has seen the most activity ever in Republican Candidate filings. There have been several marches from the Republican Head Quarters to the Board of Elections with candidates going to file for election. The Republican Party is marching to victory in Lee County this fall. It is just a short one block walk from the Head Quarters to the Board of Elections which will make it easy when early voting starts in April.Read the rest of this post
Republican Head Quarters in Sanford Opens
The Republican Head Quarters in Sanford opened on February 13 just in time for the beginning of the political season in Lee County. The head quarters is located at 101 S. Steele Street in Sanford at the former location of Sabatino's Resturant. Pat McCrory Event was a Huge Success
There was a tremendous attendance as people came to see the next Governor Pat McCrory speak to the Republican Party of Lee County. The event was a great success and a lot of money was raised for the upcoming election cycle. The food was delicious and Pat McCrory said that it was some of the best fish he has had to eat.Read the rest of this post
Pat McCrory Coming to Lee County
Pat McCrory will be the guest speaker at the next Republican Party of Lee County meeting on December 3, 2011. The meeting will be at Ron's Barn on highway 87 south next to the Honda dealership. There will be a buffet with fish, shrimp, chicken, and barbecue on the menu. People are invited to attend for a donation of $25.00 to the local Republican Party. Lee GOP at the Fair
The Lee Regional Fair is always an exciting time of year for kids of all ages. But this year it was also exciting for the Republican Party of Lee County. The Republican Women and the Republican Party of Lee County had a booth with people there during the entire fair to register voters. There were about 50 new Republicans to stop by and register. Mike Stone Campaign Event Huge Success
Imagine getting 200 people to a campaign event in August! Pat McCrory made a visit to Sanford on behalf of the Mike Stone for House 51 campaign. Other special guests included Representative Paul (Skip) Stam, Representative Jamie Boles, Judge Paul Holcomb, and Renee Ellmers.
