Mick's been active in the Republican Party since high school when he volunteered, campaigning for Ronald Reagan in the 1976 primary. He also campaigned again in leadership positions for Reagan in 1980 and 1984. Mick honorably served at the pleasure of former NC US House Member Honorable Jim Broyhill, and former NC US Senior Senator Honorable Jesse Helms. Mick worked in Washington, DC, Asheville, Hickory and Raleigh NC, and moved to Florida in 1989, from Beech Mountain to Bradenton, where he promptly joined Manatee Republican Executive Committee in 1990. Mick was active in 6 different REC's in NC and is in his 6th here in Florida, with LeeREC. He brings a lifetime of experience to the Republican state committeeman position, viewing the task as equal and fair representation of every Republican (and potential Republican) in Lee County.
