Tara Jenner was elected as State Committeewoman by the Republican voters in Lee County during the 2024 Primary Election for a four-year term. Previously she served as the Vice Chair of the Lee GOP from December 2022 to December 2024.
Tara is a constitutional conservative and life-long Republican. During her ten years as an Air Force Judge Advocate, she was a prosecutor, claims officer, aircraft accident investigator, environmental expert, and Medical Law Consultant (MLC). While hospital in-house counsel to a staff of 400+ (and senior advisor to six other installations) she also trained all military MLCs. Tara resigned her commission two years after obtaining the rank of Major and received an Honorable Discharge.
Tara home-schooled her children through graduation while concurrently running a business dedicated to helping children with learning disabilities and adults with traumatic brain injury. As Vice President of the Christian Home Educators of Southwest Florida, she was instrumental in recruiting new members, updating the website, bringing in dynamic speakers, and inspiring membership participation.
Tara spent a large portion of her childhood overseas, living in Germany, Belgium, Norway, England, Spain, and Venezuela. She has also lived in many States and Korea as a result of her military service. Her travels have made her appreciative of the United States and the free state of Florida. Tara is conversant in German and Italian, is fluent in English and Spanish, and understands a good bit of Korean
Tara actively advocates for liberty and supports grassroots Republican candidates. She is LCREC committeewoman for Precinct 214. She brings her team building, instructional, and legal skills to the Board as the Republican State Committeewoman for Lee County.
